This book focuses on the first 6 months of Gen Greene's activity, after taking over the Southern Campaign from Gen Gates (removed from service). This book is written with a certain angle on Colson's Plantation, in todays Stanly County, N.C. as this was one of several early depots/forts built by Greene's orders. Col Thaddeus Kosciuszko was the engineer involved and was very important, and is also highlighted throughout this book. I also focus on his role as compared to Carrington's and other Deputy Quartermasters who were busy across NC and VA. Letters are quoted and provided to properly document the activity as well as numerous maps.
UPDATED - Greene visits Colson's himself AFTER the battle at Guilford Courthouse on his way to SC.
