Davie County was formed in 1836 from the Northwest portion of Rowan County. This book contains images of the original road, bridge, and ferry records as preserved in the NC State Archives. Then a transcript of the main portion of the document is provided for a detailed index (subject, key word, and Last, First name) as well as a detailed catalog (via the Table of Contents). Davie County has a large collection of road (1837-1904) and bridge records (3-boxes) which are contained (almost all of the 3 boxes) in this volume. All the bridge (1838-1896) and ferry records (1848-1909) are also contained in this book. Remember, if you want information prior to 1837 then use the Rowan County records, which are also transcribed by this author.
