This is my first collection of love poems. I have published poems before in anthologies, magazines and the poetry website Secret Attic as a competition finalist and prize winner. We all find love at some point on this life's road. In these poems, I explore the complex journey of feelings, emotions and hopes lived out between shared souls, that become dashed in human hurts and reborn with someone else. These poems explore loves myriad paths, it's succulent sweetness and dark despair. They try to touch that nerve in each of us, in a way that is romantic but real, traditional yet modern. Some of these poems are sensual and erotic, but they all try to convey meaning and understanding. This is my journey of love found, lived, lost and found again. From pleasures peak to the wilderness and back again. This journey is the reason we wake up each day and want to be alive. It is the door we keep open inside and hope will never close, for to love and be loved, means we are not alone. Welcome and... More > well met. Strider< Less

In many ways Strider Marcus Jones is a modern-day Gerard Manley Hopkins (that coined word WET-WARM is one of many many examples). Except that Hopkins was a gentle and devout Catholic priest penned in by his vow of chastity and fear of sex and qualms about his sexual orientation and Jones is a modern man who has no inhibitions about putting down on paper the sheer beauty of sexual love. Hopkins was sensuous rather than sensual, a man who sublimated his sexual energy into his genuine love of God and nature and conservation to write many of the most beautiful and... Jones on the other hand is both sensual and sensuous and shows us the joys and heartaches of love with every fibre of his considerable poetic talent.< Less
