I have read all of Strider's previous books of poetry and the pictures he paints are so vivid. His poetry is unique and full of surprises. I would have to say that Pomegranate Flesh is full of amazing pictures painted by the words of this extremely skillful Poet. I personally would put Strider up there with the masters!

Strider has the most amazing gift of being able to paint a masterpiece with words. Each one of these poems creates its own colourful canvas which stimulates both the senses and the imagination while guiding you on a path through forests of fantasy realms to the cold streets of reality. A truly talented Poet! x

Pomegranate Flesh is a most wonderful collection of poems, Strider Marcus Jones has a great way of pulling you inside the poems and taking you on a ride that weaves through words with the rhythm of a skilled songwriting wordsmith, he has a knack of making you feel you are inside the poem, moving and dancing to his beat. I won't go into every poem i love, suffice to say that i thoroughly enjoyed every single poem, it was a magical journey from start to finish that has left me wanting more, more, more... Everyone should read poetry as good as this, it's good for the soul.

The poems in this collection show Strider’s gift of being able to weave words into creative and surprising configurations. He manipulates words to do his will, taming them with his love for the sounds, rhythms and cadence of language. The result is poetry that is fresh, wild, sensual, and new. His poetry lulls the reader into hypnotic and sensual trances with imaginative renderings of lush landscapes of the mind, body, and nature. Pomegranate Flesh is a wonderful compilation of poems, resonating with a poet’s passion for life, love, and language. By Connie Calomeni. The Pomegranate is the national fruit and symbol of Armenia. It represents fertility, abundance and marriage. One ancient custom widely accepted in ancient Armenia was performed at weddings. A bride was given a pomegranate fruit, which she threw against a wall, breaking it into pieces. Scattered pomegranate seeds ensured the bride future children.
