Sturgis Griffin is an amazing person. Most people would be happy just to survive heart surgery in this situation, but he makes it his mission and vision to provide comfort and insight into both his feelings, and those of close family members affected by this process. He does this selflessly, so that others may learn and grow from his experience. His wife Leslie allows us inside the whirlwind of emotions that she is feeling for the man that she loves. She articulates the conflicting emotions of how she doesn't want to hear what he wants "taken care of" in the event of his demise. He thinks that he is lovingly preparing her, in the event he's gone. WOW! A must read for anyone who is facing a life threatening situation, or for the person that loves them.

How many emotions does this beautiful word "Heart" arouse? Myriad expectations and aspirations are associated with heart, especially in our beautiful English Language. Writers and poets have used the word in their connotations to convey their notions. But, when it comes to the physical aspects, it is merely an organ in a human body, perhaps, the only organ that can stop all movements instantly and relentlessly. Sturgis Griffin presents the autobiographical account which is not only sincerely presented but also has the power to touch the hearts of readers. A few pages of preview made me think again about my fragile existence. The title "From my Heart to Yours" is a paradoxical presentation. One expects beautiful words to flow from the writer, and they do flow but they carry the reality which most of us abstain from listening to. It can't happen to me, it can only happen to others is often a notion which we carry with us, but we are wrong. It can happen to anyone.... More > This book has something definite and sound that will, perhaps, transform the meaning of your life. Griffin has done absolute justice notwithstanding the reality that was quite adverse and I can imagine how much stress he must have felt while writing this. A highly admirable creation! God bless him and his Rajasir< Less
