You can find out more about the author and how I came to write this book on my blog page here http://ukgrapevine.monsite.orange.fr (no www required) At the age of 40, a series of unforeseen events throw Gwens lonely but ordered world into turmoil. With little cash to support them, and embarking on the monumental task of renovating a crumbling farmhouse with the new man in her life, they become part of the local community. But there is a presence within the cold stone walls of a past that no one will speak of. Setting out to discover if there is more to the eerie presence than an over active imagination they meet some interesting characters and unfold a sad tale of forbidden love. I have tried to portray a story that will interest not only readers who enjoy the sweet romance of French countrylife, but who seek intrigue and a little of the supernatural too! The opening pages are also available on the webpage above as a sampler.
