This is a circa 1910 translation of the famous work done by Sun Tzu, "The Art of War." It was translated by Lionel Giles, assistant in the Department of Oriental Printed Books in the British Museum.
The following translation is not hampered by commentary from other people, which is often the case when Sun Tzu's work is translated. When extra commentary is added it can make the text and the actual translation itself hard to read and follow. This book is simply Sun Tzu's work translated into English without anyone elses ideas put forth. This makes it crisp and clear to read.
There is a reason why the "Art of War" by Sun Tzu has been around for thousands of years. Countless warriors and philosophers from every walk of life have poured over its pages for generations. It is a classic work that has been relevent throughout human history and will continue to be so in the future.
