Aug 1, 2009"INTERESTING BOOK! Reviewed by Ann DellaCamera @ Simegen.com" Kimberly and Leroy Parker had been kids when the state had removed them from their crack-addicted mother and gave guardianship to Charlie, their mother’s stepbrother. Uncle Charlie was physically and mentally abusive and loved money but didn’t want to work for it. He kept control of Kimberly by threatening to put her mentally challenged brother, Lee, in a home. When Kim received her CNA, she went to work at Henry Ford’s Nursing Home -- a job she got through Uncle Charlie’s friend, Willis Cox. Uncle Charlie told her to marry one of the elderly men, so he could get their money. Kim met and married Wescott Hawthorne, a sixty-eight-year-old Native American/African man on her eighteenth birthday. He was unable to consummate their vows, but he made Kim promise to go to a sperm bank for his sperm and be impregnated; so his greedy nephew could not get his estate. Not long after, he died. After arranging for Wescott’s... More > funeral, Uncle Charlie took Kim to the sperm bank. There they discovered that an incident had damaged many of the records, and Wescott’s sperm could not be found. Uncle Charlie was furious; the money was slipping through his hands. Three days later, Kim, deeply asleep, was yanked awake at 12:30am by Uncle Charlie, Willis Cox, and Uncle Charlie’s girlfriend, Sadie Hutchinson. They hustled her down to the basement, through a door, and into a new room. In the center of the room was a bed with a gorgeous naked man on it; a post at each corner held his handcuffed wrists and ankles, a leather belt held him to the bed, and his mouth was taped. Her Uncle told her to rape the man until she was pregnant; then he would dispose of him. After she was pregnant, they could claim Wescott’s estate. The man, Jaelen Gates, swore vengeance. Lee finally got her and Jaelen free, and they ran. Nine months after Lee and Kim disappeared, still hiding from Uncle Charlie, Kim gave birth. A year later Kim was contacted by the sperm bank and told Wescott’s sperm had been found. She was inseminated. When she was four months pregnant, a goon of Wescott’s nephew, Ainsley, attacked Kim. Now she hid from Ainsley as well as from Uncle Charlie. She again gave birth, this time to twins. Four years later Jaelen Gates, his father, and his friends, Lethal and Onyx Heart, owners of a security/detective agency, were in court for the trial of Charles Parker for kidnapping, rape, and conspiracy to commit murder. Willis Cox and Sadie Hutchinson were already in prison. A mature Kimberly was a witness for the prosecution after she’d been assured her children and brother were safe. Her Uncle was sent to prison; now all she needed worry about was Jaelen’s vengeance, Ainsley killing her for his uncle‘s money, and finding someone she could trust. Stealing Innocence is a roller-coaster ride. Just when you think the problems have been solved, up jumps another. If I have a compliant, it is that the proofreader should have been more careful. An interesting book! http://www.simegen.com/reviews/list/27893.html< Less

Nov 7, 2006"Stealing Innocence" What a book that you just can't put down. I don't find those very often but this book is fast paced and keeps you wondering what can happen next to this character. I felt like I was sitting back and watching it on a movie screen and wanting for more when I was done reading. Thank you for writing such an heart tucking book that makes you want to protect the character. I hope that there are sequels to this book Sylvia.
Aug 25, 2006"Stealing home" I enjoyed reading "stealing innocence." It was a fast-paced story with many enjoyable twists and turns. Every time I thought that I knew what was going to happen, I was surprised again. Kimberly and Jaelen were two unforgettable characters with an unforgettable story to tell. This book was a combination of mystery and romance rolled into one. It read like a movie on the big screen. I mean the characters were all so real that I'm looking forward to reading the sequels to this novel. Thanks again, Sylvia, for sharing you incredible imagination with us. Keep it coming and we'll keep reading.
