My Mother's Restaurant

Domenic Vento finds his dream wife in Rome and brings her to America. When he dies seven years later in the midst of the Great Depression, she must bring up their children on her own in an unfamiliar country. Armed with intense determination and unconventional wits, she faces hard economic times and a domineering father to prove she is capable of meeting this momentous task.
