The Little Panda

I am a stuffed toy called Little Panda. How is it that I found so much happiness? Obviously it is due to meeting James and Tatsuko. They are a couple out of the ordinary. This tale is about a biography and at the same time it is a fairy story. In actual fact, it all really happened. James is a contemporary artist. His other talent is that he has a rich knowledge of languages— Chinese, both the modern tongue and the classical language, as well as Japanese, both modern and medieval, plus the languages of Western Europe. He made the discovery of the profundity and the philosophy of the Buddha teaching of Nichiren Daishōnin. Over the last thirty years, he has translated Nichiren’s writings. The Buddha teaching of Nichiren is an all-embracing subject, which I have seriously studied in depth, only to find that it is a real treasure. It is capable of bringing about world peace, as well as individual happiness.
