Jun 12, 2009"Explosive tale with massive impact" I was intrigued to read this book as it featured many locations in around where I live. Sometimes with this kind of book you a drawn in by the familiarity of location only to be disappointed by plot and pace in the book. However Tide of Terror by Terry Smith is an exception to that rule. It's packed full of local interest however the themes echo and offer intrigue to those reading from a world stage point of view. With twists and turns in every chapter the flood of information that comes at you drives your forward until the last page. You will not be disappointed with this read whether you are local to South East Essex or based further afield. It surely can't be long before the rights to this book are bought up for a major Hollywood blockbuster.
Mar 20, 2009"Tide Of Terror" I started reading Tide of Terror on Good Friday and finished the book over the Easter break picking it up at every opportunity to see what was going to happen next. The plot has some very interesting twists and turns at a good pace which is based on reality and not far fetched fantasy. The story unfolds on the Thames estuary and has the added bonus of using places that still exist today. The author displays an in depth knowledge of the area and has extensively researched all material. A good read and I will look out for the next publication from this author.
Mar 18, 2008"Tide of Terror" What a super read,a good gripping story set within a local area which is known by the author,I can't wait for his next publication,he can only get better.
Mar 7, 2008"Very realistic after UK terrorist experiences of 7/7!!" For a first time author, this book is a superb read! Gripping and very realistic and written with great accuracy to detail. An alternative angle to terrorist activity that grips you into believing it really did happen! I can also see this being made into a superb Hollywood thriller or better still, a British film maker! Looking forward to any future works that follow
