A young Newfoundlander seeks his fortune in Toronto. Instead he encounters an underworld of drugs, sex, and low-paying jobs which are signposts of the violence lurking in the shadows. A severe beating leaves Terry with permanent brain damage and a need to remember what happened in that dark alley.
