Aug 26, 2012"Stories From the Chapel" brings the zombie genre back to where it all began- the Evans City (PA) Cemetery. The cemetery is known to horror fans worldwide for being the opening location for iconic 1968 horror opus "Night of the Living Dead". Proceeds from the book go to the restoration of the cemetery's chapel, the last surviving structure from the landmark film. The stories in the collection are all unrelated tales of zombiedom, each centered around the chapel and the surrounding environs. The selections range from the horrifying (Richard Dean's "Crying in the Chapel", Kristal Stittle's "Refuge") to the lighthearted and endearing (Tonia Brown's "Going to the Chapel" springs to mind). "Tales" is chock full of great artwork, poetry and, above all else, engaging short stories. Fans of zombie horror, or the horror genre in general would do well to buy this book. If you enjoy clever writing, zombies, EC Comics-style twist... More > endings, zombies, humor, terror or... um... zombies you need to pick up this collection right now. The book is a love letter to an endangered piece of cinematic history that warrants saving and you could do much, much worse for fifteen bucks. Many people have put their sweat and tears (and I'm sure some blood too, you ghouls) into their efforts to bring us this anthology. Do yourself and the chapel a favor and buy this book. Do it now, I can wait all day.< Less

Aug 6, 2012The living dead have returned to haunt their favorite chapel in the new anthology STORIES FROM THE CHAPEL! Inside these pages is a fantastic collection of original fiction pieces, poems, and artwork- all based on the iconic chapel (and, of course, zombies) seen in the classic horror film NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD. The diverse talent behind STORIES FROM THE CHAPEL has created a remarkable book full of passion and excitement- not only for its ghoulish, cinematic source material, but for the noble cause of restoring the chapel to its original glory. The chapel (located in Evans City, PA) is an iconic landmark of classic horror cinema, and proceeds from the sales of this book go towards that restoration effort. Do yourself a favor: Buy this book, for yourself and for the chapel. It is truly one of the finest fan-produced collections I have ever read and I sincerely believe it will earn a dedicated cult following of its own, much like the film it was based on. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
