The Southron’s Guide to Living in Uruguay is the most comprehensive and authoritative book available on moving to and living in the hottest new Expat retirement and Investment location in the world: URUGUAY!
It is also the most lavishly illustrated, and certainly the funniest—written from a very pronounced point of view by a “wheelchair bound curmudgeon” with a decade of experience living in the West Indies, former Yugoslavia and Central America.

I'm downloading my book now as I write this. I wanted to add to robertm's comments on how to download. LuLu is a good site used by self-publishers. This is my 2d purchase/download using it, and if I wanted to redownload my first purchase I could, as I see now that link is still active and that purchase was 2 1/2 years ago. The download link is in your Downloads section at the website. Look for the section LuLu for Me which is currently in bottom left hand corner of site, and click on Downloads. You must be logged in to do this, and if this is your 1st time at site you will set up your free membership during order process allowing you to access your download whenever you like. Also, if you click on the link for your order details in the email you'll receive when you purchase, that will take you to an Order Details page. In the top left hand corner of that Order Details page you'll see the words Need Help? and a drop down menu. Select Where Can I Download My Order? from the drop down... More > menu and it will take you directly to your Downloads page where you can download your book. They even have download instructions there as well.< Less
I'd love to read it, several references say that it's excellent. I paid for the "downloads immediately" version but after carefully dissecting all three e-mail responses, it's not at all obvious how one could download the material. The "order receipt" indicates that the "order status" is "shipped". Help is not available. - update : It's a couple hours later and Deep in the bowels of one of the "help" pages I discovered a link to a document. It may be the right one, but the only date in the document is 2006 where the "product details" on the description page of the web site says it was updated in November 2009. It's too late now, even if it is the wrong version because I'm already hooked, about 1/5 through the book so far and it is excellent (well written, lots of detail, and useful links) but this sales web site needs to be fixed.
