Aug 27, 2011This review is from Patria Unikan Polinag Part 1 1. In my reading the book, it tells that we can still be normal even with incapability, that we can live normally doing the things that other normal people are doing, sometimes it far better because person with incapability tries more challenging things more than the capable. 2. It pushes me to do more challenging things in life, and teach me not to give up in the trials of life because if the people in cerebral palsy can fight the challenges in life, I can do it also. 3. “I used to push my wheelchair forward slowly until I saw Rachel push backwards in one leg” I really love this line, sometimes we need to see other, doing better than we do because it will lead us to trust that what we are doing is better than others. 4. Giving up in life is never an option; the book will push the reader to focus on the strength not the weaknesses. It will lead to open the mind of the reader to pushed harder in life, to strive more to achieve something,... More > to never stop believing, to continue dreaming, and to do the dream in reality. 5. We don’t have to judge the person with incapability because we might see them not normal outside, but they are completely normal inside, they are intelligent and brave, they do normal things, they think normal, for they are normal. 6. I was amazed, for I was not being exposed with cerebral palsy or people with incapability, I thought that they cannot do things on their own, but this story made me realized that you can do things normally, on their own as well. That people whose normal outside is sometimes the ones who is with incapability bec they judged. 7. Disabilities is never a hindrance to do the things that you wanted to do, its only in the matter of the mind, if you think you can do it, you can do it. 8. I feel I wanted to read more, I want more stories about the hospital, and I enjoyed reading it because something inside in me weighs the difference between two different people. More detailed story of cerebral palsy experience. Part 2 1. I feel the sadness in the rise. I feel the depression of the author because he used to live with the people with his alike and now trying to cope up with different group. 2. “My roommate was paid to be my aid” I love this line but at the same time I feel sad because in that society everything must be paid, but that’s the reality. The fact. But there are still free things in the world these days. 3. Speaking of sexual intercourse, people will be curious to know how and what happened in the intercourse. Maybe it would be more revealing and exciting if it would be written longer. 4. “Jennifer became my wife during my fall. The fall was worth it all” I love this, some single lady and looking for a mate would want to have their down fall if they got to read this because its an inspiration that in fall time, you can still find to rise. That even in trial and most severe time of your life, there’s still hope=). But I want more story of that lines. 5. The wordings of the book are simple and easy to understand and you’ll enjoy reading it because it rhymes sometimes. The words and explanation are short but the thought is there. But with some exciting story like in part one and in other lines, the reader will want more. 6. I want more story regarding intercourse in part 1, but I saw it in the ending part=) 7. Nice ending.. the reader would want for more and will be waiting for the next story=)< Less
