WOW.... WOW.... WOW.... WHAT A BOOK!!!!! I have to give all five stars to Dear Michael, With Love. I am a huge Michael Jackson fan and have read so many books about Michael. Many have come out recently, to include many of the latest fanbooks, this is the BEST BY FAR. I just LOVE this book. You can tell that the book was well thought out and put together with a lot of L.O.V.E. for Michael... L.O.V.E. oozes from its pages. I think if Michael were still with us today he would give his approval of this book (in my opinion) and I have been his fan for 40 years. Michael would be moved by the beautiful letters, poetry, drawings and pictures. I truly hope the Jackson family sees this book, it justly deserves their attention. If there ever was a book to reflect the love Michael's fans had for him this is the book. I wasn't fortunate enough to contribute to this book but I sure which I had been... this is so worth reading. The selected artwork was well thought out and it is so BEAUTIFUL! I love that the book is full-color... it makes it worth every single dime.... and too boot the entire proceeds go to charity. That is very impressive in my book! The author doesn't make a dime on this one... she gave 100% of the book's proceeds to 3 well thought out charities that Michael would be so very proud of... great job Theresa Anne Jordan. The book starts out with such a great argument... I love that Ms. Jordan takes the human approach to Michael and looks at the man we all loved and adored. Michael was very much just a man. He was just like you and I wasn't he? As he said himself, "I am just like anyone. I cut and I bleed. I embarrass easily." Theresa does such a wonderful job at making one think of their own "humanness" in comparison to Michael... when he was so elevated to as she put it "appear larger than life." She continues to such a terrific piece on love we all share as human beings and it makes you wonder if this "world could be a better place for you and me" if we were to take some of her suggestions... she is such a bright shining young woman that I would love to meet one day! What a brilliant way to think of love, humanity, our presence in this world and how we look at stardom. I will forever be changed by her words and how I think about those are risen to stardom and sought after so fiercely by the media outlets. I adore how Ms. Jordan brought me in as a reader into her livingroom as a young child watching Michael on television. She made me feel like I was right there beside her in the excitement. I was intrigued by the part where Ms. Jordan writes about Michael's lyrics and compares them toooooo.... (I am thinking I am giving to much away and that I need to stop to let you all read this for yourselves... it is so worth the read)... Sorry!!! There is so much more to write and so many more things to mention that I could write and write for a long time but I just realized it all just wouldn't be fair if I told it all to Ms. Jordan and I know that many of you would love to read it for yourselves. So I hope that my review will intrigue you enough to want to purchase this book. It is so worth the buy. I absolutely love this book and would buy it over and over again. I just can't say enough great things about it... you really have to have this one! I will be saving the name Theresa Anne Jordan. Theresa Anne Jordan will be a new and upcoming author that I will be sure to watch for!!! I hope that she continues to write. I can't wait to see what she does next!< Less
Dear Michael, With Love Is the BEST Fan Dedication Book to have hit the book stores!!! If you want to read what Michael Jackson fans really feel for the King of Pop this is the book to read. The pages pull you in while those that have loved Michael bare their feelings in loving letters and poetry to the King of Pop. The Author Theresa Anne Jordan did a wonderful job compiling the letters and constructing this book! Her introduction to the book gives such a compelling argument to the postitive side of how Michael should have been viewed all along. She takes you along to look at the "Human" side of Michael and also asks us to look in the mirror at ourselves at the same time...She askes those to open their minds and hearts to those that have been so close-minded about Michael. Another "ABSOLUTELY" EXCEPTIONAL part of the book that Ms. Jordan does is she so graciously correlates the beautiful messages in Michael's songs and the passages of those of a higher power (I... All I can say is this is a MUST READ for any Michael Jackson fan not just on a tribute level but also to read what Theresa Anne Jordan writes about in the beginning of the book. It will make you think, and if you aren't an MJ watch out she just may convert YOU! I have read most all the books out there that are dedicated to Michael (being an avid fan of his for over 30 Years) and this is the BEST BOOK BY FAR!!! In Full Color, it makes the book all the more worth every dime. The fans that contributed to the book really poured out their heart and soul... every letter in this book is a real testament to Michael and the L.O.V.E. the fans have for Michael and the poetry is so absolutely beautiful.
