Price: $5.50
This advent devotional book comes from an unusual source -- a group of women who keep Web Logs -- discerning women, clergywomen and their friends who call themselves the RevGalBlogPals webring ( The RevGalBlogPals webring is a circle of friends who span across denominations and countries to form an intentional community. We laugh, pray and grow together as clergy, as Christians and as women. These are our reflections on the season of Advent and are based loosely on Year B of the Revised Common Lectionary. The proceeds for this book will go to hurricane relief efforts along the US gulf coast.

I've just previewed this Advent resource after purchasing an online copy and a printed copy. As one who has led Advent groups for thirty-five years, I am delighted w/ this new resource. The images, writing, and spirit are fresh, contemporary, grounded in personal experience, traditional, and deeply spiritual. I will be using it as a chaplain in a continuing care retirement community, but this resource is cross-generational. Thanks to the open explorations of the intentional online community and the use of the proceeds going toward Katrina/Rita relief.
