"A question of Innocents" This is an excellent book. It is more of a modern age West side story mixed with many twists and turns. It is so well written that it grabs a hold of you and don't let go. Miss Smith has captivated teenage audiences everywhere so much so it is hard to keep your hands on the book. Teens are able to relate and are fascinated with her writing. We are looking forward to many more of her works in the future.
"A Question of Innocents" I LOVED this book! I especially liked the character of Lexa Marshal. She seemed so familar to me, like someone I might actually know. I also liked the surprise twists and unexpected turns that kept me turning the pages wanting to know more. I couldn't put this one down. I can't wait until the next book in the series comes out so I can see what happens next.
"Excellent read...wonderful coming of age novel for the modern age." Ms. Smith has done an excellent job in capturing the essence of life as a teenager in an age where, though things are ever-changing in society, those changes are seldom reflected in the closed community that is high school. Through much conflict, attempts at overcoming the prejudices of classmates, and the pressures of friends and family, Sidney and Lexa try to find their place in each other's lives while still trying to work through both common and uncommon problems and anxieties of being girls growing into women. An excellent first novel, and I look forward to the arrival of the remaining books in the series.
