Winter's Doorway

Tom Bivins has been writing and publishing poetry since high school. Many of these poems were written over 40 years ago, while he was pursuing an MFA in creative writing at the University of Alaska. The rest have been written in the succeeding years—some, only recently. Thus, they are a collection of impressions gathered from youth to adulthood (and very adulthood). There is a deep sense of place to many of these poems, and an equally deep sense of forms. The circularity of life is the theme of Winter's Doorway, all the way through the four seasons and beyond.
