If you are a true Nutmegger you have probably seen them in passing. You know, those blue signs that have the names of Connecticut's towns on them. Each town has one. The signs can be found on the town green, near the town hall, or next to that first congregational church. There are 169 signs, one sign to represent each town in the state. Each of the signs explains the history of the town and its founding fathers. Some even tell an interesting story or two. Over a thirteen-year period I visited each of Connecticut's towns and took pictures of these signs. Along the way, I met interesting people, discovered little-known facts, and saw things I never knew existed in Connecticut. This is a story about the town signs of Connecticut and the adventures I had while searching for them. Now sit back, enjoy, and learn about the signs of Connecticut.
