The Psalms in a metrical setting for singing with an innovative way of translating. The Hebrew poetic device of parallelism, repetition for effect, is greatly reduced, thus making it possible to put the entire content of the Psalms into much briefer form than in any other version. The length has been reduced to about one-third of the original, without leaving out any content or themes. The Psalms are all put into Long Meter and can thus be sung to any of about five hundred well-known tunes.
