The saying that "a man is known by the company he keeps" can be applied directly to Gene Landon, except, that it could also read as "a man is known by the tools that he keeps". The introductory photograph shows Gene surrounded by the things that occupied his life and this publication verifies that. This is more than a compilation of Gene's tools but a reflection of what Gene did in real life. In reading, and looking through this publication, I recognized many of the tools as ones that I own and, the others, as wanting to own. Is this publication/book for everyone? No, but the description as a "companion" to "Inspiration: Gene Landon and Seven Hearths" describes it perfectly. I plan on buying a hardcover copy and making it a companion for my copy of "Inspiration". Many thanks go to Tom Meiller, for this is another insight into the life and times of Gene Landon.
