"The Fight That Never Ends" is an important resource for parents, victims of bullying of any age, "neutral" members of society, school professionals, and officials charged with the welfare of minors. I believe parents will find this book a reminder and an important third-party lesson in why keeping faith in your children should be a constant priority. I believe victims of bullying, including victims of cyber-bullying and institutionalized abuse will find this book of particular value. It provides, those who suffer/suffered silently, a friend who understands the plight of victims of such abuse who also encourages others through example to reclaim themselves by privately or publicly denouncing those who abuse. This is inspiring. In saying, ""neutral" members of society" above, I am referring to those who are bystanders/onlookers. Many of whom are school personnel, officials, or fellow students/workers. I think these individuals should know that... More > their likely apathy masquerading as neutrality contributes greatly to the suffering of others and fails to keep the social contract to fight oppression and demand justice of themselves and their fellows. Tim Brown does an excellent job exposing the hypocrisy of apathy and the fight that truly never ends. Social Services, School Boards, and all others should find this book on their required reading lists and be tested on an ethical basis regarding what they would do if they witnessed any number of the incidents reported by Brown. If their choices and "solutions" fail to protect a child in Tim's situation, they should lose their jobs. I thank Tim Brown for writing this and for his continued efforts to expose corruption and abuse.< Less

"The Fight That Never Ends" This book is a well written account of the author's school years. It should be of help to older teens and adults alike who have been subjected to bullying and uncaring school systems. Also parents of children who have been picked on by schoolmates and school officials alike will find the book hard to put down. It is sometimes sad and sometimes humorous, and it held my interest from beginning to end.

"A tragic, yet oddly entertaining, memoir" Up until now Tim Brown has been best known for combining politics, anger, and humor in his controversial newsletter, but this book takes him in a different direction. Yes, he is still angry, and definitely still funny, but the focus here is on the bizarre cast of miscreants who surround the author as he struggles to survive as a student in a broken educational system. There are bullies who schedule their lives around tormenting Tim, even changing their bus routes to follow him home from school. There are teachers who overreact to the mildest suggestion of nonconformity, such as Tim's creation of a poster bearing the slogan "Green beans are lethal." The worst offenders, though, are the school principals who preside over these absurdities with a mixture of arrogance and incompetence. This book is certain to provoke controversy with some of its suggestions, not all of which I agree with, but it is an enjoyable read... More > nonetheless.< Less

"bully magnet" ...based on the preview, I think this is an interesting book. I'm not sure why this author is getting all the bad reviews. It seems as if Tim Brown is a "bully magnet" and is still fighting the fight that never ends. ****** John Albrecht Jr
