Thomas Little can’t sleep. After becoming pseudo-famous for sneaking into the White House, the unemployed, former mental health “Assessment Specialist”, through a series of random coincidences, ends up the reluctant leader of the fastest growing, most highly marketed and most profitable religion on earth. Tom has some big decisions to make and spends the night assessing his situation, sorting his options and sharing his story. Often humorous, at times irreverent, ROAR tells a tale that spins along at a Vonnegut-like pace and is filled with as many “strange pockets of oddness and coincidence” as the universe that is the foundation of “R.O.A.R. – the Religion of Absolute Randomness”.

Jul 11, 2009"ROAR" Marshall is a terrific storyteller. Writing with a distinct rhythm, he has created characters everybody knows and most will pull for.
May 19, 2008"Design of Randomness" ROAR is multidimensional book delving into the philosophy of Design v. Random theories, modern day culture of disbelief, and interpersonal awakenings. Through the eyes of the narrator, the story unfolds from random acts that lead to an overall design for the future. Tim Marshall in ROAR shows that in a web of seemingly random acts, the future unfolds and brings people closer together. In a writing style that causes the reader to become personally involved in the story, and with the lack of clear breaking points, the reader finds it difficult to set the book down until the conclusion. Overall great book which breaks the mold of the typical writing styles of the day.
Apr 27, 2007"Re: ROAR Review" Thanks for the balanced feedback. In hindsight, I think you are absolutely right about the errors and I should have taken more time and had it professionally proof read prior to printing. I've learned a lesson. You look at something so long and you no longer can objectively see it. I will be doing a second printing soon both correcting typos and grammatical errors as well improving the cover. I would love to take you up on your offer to point out what you've noticed so if you could give it to the guy that knows the guy... :) or contact me directly... that would be great. Thanks again. tim
Apr 26, 2007"ROAR Review" Overall, I really enjoyed ROAR. The storyline was unique and amusing, and the author didn't give too much away at any given point. The metaphors and similes are fantastically creative and have a way of describing situations one is unfamiliar with by bringing to mind situations we've all witnessed but of which we don't often speak. However, I'm a nitpicker, so I'll offer some constructive criticism. The number of grammatical errors throughout the book is distracting. There is a constant, yet inconsistent, confusion of the words "its" and "it's." Other times, the plural of a word is used where the singular should be. A book that has gone to print should have been proofread much more thoroughly than ROAR was. If there is another version that will be going to print in the future, I don't mind going back and marking the errors I found so that they can be corrected. I know a guy who knows a guy who knows the author, so... ;)
Mar 14, 2007"ROAR - Must Read!" Wow... what a book! Awesome Storyline, I couldn't put it down! The Characters are awesome, I could easily see this book being a movie and one that could develop a Cult Like Following. I know ROAR is a religion I could follow! I hope there are more books to follow! A Must read!
