Myth Shattering by Timothy Harada is a perfect example of just how beneficial a fearless investigation of the truth can be. This book offers enough resource materials and references to keep us all smarter and happier for a full lifetime, if we have the strength that the author has shown in exploring these treasures. If we don’t, we still get the benefit of Mr. Harada’s hard work in this GenX but universally appreciable story. Myth Shattering kicks ass, pulls no punches, and opens the door to a much more realistic version of the truth than our often nonsensical culture affords us. These are difficult and admirable enough jobs for any author to succeed in, but to keep a reader enthralled with the storyline while at the same time revealing wisdom (and so many of its sources) is truly a rare accomplishment. Not only are there pathways of escape from the restraints of our social conditioning within this book, it is also the most entertaining story I’ve read this year. My compliments and... More > thanks to Mr. Harada for this wonderful and courageous piece of work. I’m looking forward to his next book! - Doug "Ten" Rose, author of Fearless Puppy on American Road and founder of the Fearless Puppy project to fund Wisdom Professionals< Less

"I absolutely loved this book. " Timothy I am an SGI member in Los Angeles. I went to Soka University in Japan to study Japanese 1979. I absolutely loved your book. This is the first book referring to the SGI that I can give to my 17 year old son that he can relate to. Keep up the good work. This is the kind of ground breaking work that President Ikeda expects to come out of SUA. Thanks for everything and please take good care of yourself and your family. You are precious assets for kosen rufu, more precious than perhaps you yourself realize at this moment. My favorite part of the book by far was the poem on pages 168-169. That is an extremely good poem, and although I am not an expert on poetry you should have someone who knows poetry take a look at it. I think it is truly outstanding, and rates as one of the best poems I have ever read. Why don't you submit the poem by itself to some poetry journals? Unfortunately, I no longer have the book. (I kept a copy of the poem).... More > My friend has it and he was greatly encouraged by it. I think what you did takes tremendous courage, and I heartily congratulate you for it. It is the most difficult thing to put your work out there for the world to see and take shots at.< Less

"Tim Harada's Myth Shattering" Under 30 or maybe 35? This may be a book for you on the coming of age progression of self-awareness into Buddhism. Why the age qualification? It's not that anyone older can't understand it, but it will resonate more with you if you can readily identify with the experiences of someone now in their 20s. Why Buddhism? Because it is a means to the development of the true self and an understanding of one's place in the universe. This is a good book for those in search of an entertaining look at becoming a buddhist with a Tobias Wolff, "This Boy's Life" feel
