I finished this book in honor of my 30th birthday. It is comprised of 30 poems that encompass a wide variety of subjects from serious introspection and stumbling love to such things as loading my Pez dispenser with meat loaf.

"These Poems Rock Harder Than Richard Marx." In truth, Richard Marx really doesn't rock all that hard but these poems sure as hell do. Tim Murray is one of my favorite poets because he doesn't posture with obscene bravado. He lays his life out with vulnerability and style but skimps on the self-pity. His poems sing song through the despair of modern mundane American life with humor and wit. I've published several of Tim's poems in my poetry zine and will continue to do so. If you have any sense at all, you will buy this book.
