The main thrust of my argument is that each and every point in virtual space is capable of agency and authorship, which I demonstrate via an analysis of special effects films, showing that with new technologies the space itself now acts as a camera. Arguing that we should neither essentialize nor ventriloquise for these virtual subjectivities, I suggest that not only can we can extend 'rights' to the posthuman, but that in the process we can improve the human to human prospect as well.
