Jack Pascoe ended a well-earned holiday prematurely to pay an unscheduled visit to his laboratory. There he discovered that two of his partners, Sally and Liam Jennings, had taken advantage of his absence to steal the lynchpin of his cloning system, just when he’d been finally ready to share it with the world. In the days that followed, Jack would be assailed on all sides, as so-called friends and lovers joined forces with a disgruntled police officer and a shadowy character known only as The Dutchman, all determined to destroy him. Treachery, as Jack was about to discover, is a slippery slope. Until he found someone he could trust, something to stop an inevitable slide into the abyss, it seemed he would lose not only his laboratory and his freedom, but maybe his life too.

Hello, Tom Henry. At last a computer for my review.I was told many years ago that a good story should grab you in the first chapter. Copy-Right grabbed me in the first paragraph. I fear for Jack in any future stories but I am eagerly waiting for the next one!!

This is an intriguing tale that tells of a man's obsession with an idea that he is prepared to pursue through to its conclusion.Unfortunately on the way he finds people who he thought of as lovers, friends and colleagues cannot be trusted. While others who he didn't know existed harbour grudges and resentments against him (some going back years) that are brought into play. There is a trail of death and destruction that takes place during a few days before the conclusion is reached. While probably not the genre of novel I would normally read, I found that from the moment I started to read it, I was gripped. There are so many twists and turns that I couldn't put "Copy-right..." down until I had finished it.
