A fetish is what you like for pleasure. A fetish is something you are obsessed with. What does normal have to do with anything? If it feels good and you're doing it with a consenting adult, who the hell cares? Richard von Krafft-Ebing defined fetishes as: "Making an idol of physical or mental qualities of a person or even merely of objects used by that person, etc., because they awaken mighty associations with the beloved person thus originating strong emotions of sexual pleasure." The word fetish seems to derive from three different areas: The French word factice which means artificial or fictitious. The Portuguese word fetico meaning the worship of false values. The Spanish word fetico which originally meant a part of a Christian saint that was worshipped because it was thought to have miraculous powers from God. It could have been anything like the saint's shoes, his rosary or even a bone from the skeletal remains.
