Man, oh man! This book was so good that I couldn't put it down and read it in one day! This is truly a novel story, the likes of which I have never experienced previously through any form of entertainment. Talbot does a wonderful job weaving the mysteries of this tale from beginning to end, and the surprises were not in short supply. It even ended at the right point, allowing the reader to imagine what happened after it ended. I appreciate how Talbot is a descriptive writer, but not overly descriptive. Some authors get lost on the long-winded description of a room or the anxiety in the air, but Talbot describes just enough for the audience to get the point, and then moves on. As far as parental content, this book does have a few profanities scattered throughout. There was one 'female dog,' like two 'hecks,' and about a handfull of 'shoots.' Personally, I am sensitive to profanity, but I didn't feel overwhelmed by it. I'd still easily recommend the book to others. There was also a few... More > points where a typical teenage boy is overwhelmed by his desires for a woman, but at no point does it become vulgar or get out of control. There is also some mild violence, but again, nothing overwhelming. I would say that this is a good book for teens and adults. My appetite has been whet, and I am now looking forward to reading Talbot's other books.< Less
