I had recently come across William Muldoon while reading about boxing legend John L. Sullivan. The fact that Muldoon was not only a world champion wrestler, but also tough enough to whip sullivan into shape really caught my attention. There was little in the way of material on the man, so I saw this book and figured I'd take a chance. I must say - I am EXTREMELY pleased with this book. It covers (as I knew it would,) the history of Muldoon's involvement with wrestling, boxing, Sullivan, etc. More importantly - in the final part of the book - it goes into detail on the man's psychological makeup and the training methods he used to break down many bigshots of the day, only to build them back up and turn them into new men in the end (if they had the guts to hang in and survive, that is.) I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a great view into both the outer and inner world of William Muldoon. I wish there were more men like Muldoon to read about. His level of discipline... More > and self-mastery absolutely blows the mind!< Less
