This book is the perfect length and provides a solid introduction to working with Oracle Hyperion Planning. I found the chapter on SmartView to be particularly helpful. As in all of their books, Roske and McMullen include humor that makes the material accessible to anyone, though I admit that as a trainer myself I appreciated the humor found in their "Look Smarter than you are with Hyperion Essbase" a bit more. The nice thing about this book is that it covers both version 9 and the the latest version of Planning, Version 11. If you are, well, "planning to implement Planning" in your organization, I highly recommend this book.
