The Journal of a Modern Vietnam Woman is the true story of this young lady with big dreams, who is only now beginning to realize how they are driving her life and achievements. In 1986 the country was in a reorientation phase after a devastating liberation war and famine struck. The economy and society was affected by land mines, Agent Orange and Napalm leftover from the extensive warfare, especially in the area where Le Trang was born. Life became a matter of survival and fortunately she was protected by her parents and her older brother all of who challenged her to be what she is. Life’s experiences made Le Trang understand the brittle nature of life, and hence appreciate everything that happens in it. This was the motivation and inspiration for Le Trang to share with young Vietnamese women her journey, a chapter in a cross road of her life, which hasn’t come to an end.
