If you have read Travis Pearson's first book " The Detour" you will know that the main character (Dan Icor) is not what he seems. Pearson has created a fictional super hero that kicks butt and takes names in order to bring law and order to his community. Pearson is the type of writer that takes a real life situation and uses his character to defuse a problem that happens almost every day in some small towns in our country. This book is another fast read that is both entertaining and informative. I highly recommend this book if you like fast action with a good story line.

Great thriller. Better and better as the reader gets into it. Could it really happen? Just look at the politiCal campaigns of today and you have your answer. Hard to put down

After totally enjoying the first book in the trilogy, The Detour, I was very pleased to see the second installment come out. Carrying on where the first book left off, it was nice to see the characters I came to like, as well as the ones I hate, continue on with the story. Mr. Travis has a writing style that is both detailed and also enjoyable to read. The many ways the story parallels real life in today’s world serves to instruct the reader as well as provoke thought about current events. Enjoyable read. Not easy to put down. Like the first book, Mr. Travis’s writing style makes the story play out in my head, as if I were seeing it as a movie.

Unique and thought provoking. A riveting tale that starts in a somewhat conventional manner and then takes an unexpected turn! (No spoilers - so I'll leave it at that). While the story is exciting with multi-dimensional characters and the book can be enjoyed on that level. The author presents interesting insights into our current country and its leaders. False Dialogue is a work of fiction, but This book is disturbing in the unflattering portrayal of our leaders as agenda driven people willing to sacrifice individuals, manipulate groups and distort truth for personal wealth and power. These influential figures ignore all travesties as long as it advances their goals. In thinking the portrayal of the media in this story (and probably real life) is most disturbing, in as much, as they have abandoned all integrity to echo the talking points of those in power while completely discarding objectivity and any semblance of honesty. There is a lot below the surface of this picturesque town... More > (our country?), and I wonder what is coming next? There is a common story thread that I believe is the setup for the conclusion to the trilogy; it revolves around, a charismatic political figure with a vision for the future of the country. I believe the final book will focus on this person. I enjoyed this book and its characters and highly recommend it!< Less

Second book in the series..think it is even better then the first. Really gets you involved in the story as you want to see justice done and the good guys prevail! With all the distrust of the media lately this story really rings true! Can't wait to read book three!
