This publication is the second of a series that provides details of every club of the South Australian Football Association from its inception in 1877 through to the formation of the South Australian Football League in 1907.
The Woodville Club suffered complete division and disintegrated in the inaugural season of the South Australian Football Association. Three captains during the season indicated the deep divisions and internal dissent that rocked the club’s performances throughout its final season.
The final record of the club was that it played games, lost and forfeited due to its inability to have enough players to field a team and finished in a much lower place than expected on the very first Association premiership table.
