The premise of the book is that everyone has a story or several worth telling which they collect on their way through life. Although I have to say I certainly don`t have quite as interesting incidents in mine as Trevor does! I thoughly enjoyed it - Claudia Garratt Trevor Wright invites the reader to enjoy a glimpse into the everyday... More > happenings of an everyday fella'. 'Little things that happen' is a conglomerate of tales that no doubt have be re-told between friends many times, enjoyed and re-imagined over many outings and now generously presented on the page for the wider audience to enjoy. I dare say we all have similar amusing, incredulous and astonishing anecdotes, life is like that! but do we all have the skill of the storyteller to present those tales with the innocence and wit as so ably demonstrated here. In the same way 'Cider with Rosie' secured a special place in my heart the first time I read Mr Lee's masterpiece. The same is true for Mr Wright's work - a must read... and a read again.
