Antiphonal Fanfare op. 10

Bytroy wayne

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Duration: ca. 2:30. This fanfare is intended to be performed antiphonally (though it may be performed in traditional quartet seating arrangement). Each player should be in a corner of the performance space to form a square. Ideally, the two player at the back of the hall should be in the balcony. The intent is to create a large audience-encompassing space. As long as the players are arranged consecutively 1 – 4 it does not matter in which corner player 1 stands. A conductor may be needed to execute the piece in this fashion. Performable in the following combinations: 4 trumpets in C and 4 trombones / 4 trumpets in C / 4 trombones / 4 horns in F. Antiphonal Fanfare op. 10 was first performed by the New England Conservatory Honors Trombone Quartet in Jordan Hall, Boston 1997. Score contains full scores for the octet and quartet versions and their parts.
