"The Electric Hammer Pulse of the Higher House" This is one of the better collections from writer/poety U.L. Baity. With a name like Uziah Lavada Baity she's got to be a writer. Her poems cover a wide ranges of topics but her most powerful is the poem about Katrina which talks about the media coverage of Katrina and how she herself views the event. Ground Zero deals with the confusion of that day and a lost of an important landmark in New York City. Most of her poems are taken from personal life, her most sadest poem is the one called Soulmate which deals with rape. Its sad because it rings so true. This is a very good book. A must read for a fan of conteporary poetry.
