Finding Hope 4-7 Years is a children's book to help orphaned and vulnerable children to find hope. It is a part of a series of 12 books written to help children to cope with HIV and AIDS. It is set in Katlehong, South Africa. The setting is real but the story is fiction, made up. It is narrated in South African English and conversations are written in Southern Sotho and Zulu. The English translation is in parenthesis.
The story can be read to children or to a child one chapter at a time and then discussed with them. The colouring pictures can be reproduced for educational and counselling purposes. Caring adults such as family members, caregivers, counsellors, or librarians can use the book with children. It is Christian material.
