A detailed description of “The Impact of Japanese Aid on the Development of Nigeria’s Economy”. Careful analysis on the impact of Aid on education, rural electrification, transport, communication, textile, trade relations, arts & culture, environmental protection and healthy living are examined. It is a recommended text for history students interested in the bilateral relations between Nigeria and Japan. It is also a very informative piece to diplomats, scholars and students of international relations.
Ekeke has brilliantly put together an important aspect of Nigeria- Japan relations. She did well to document all sectors of Nigerian economy which have been aided by the Japanese government. Although her style and language are not without criticism, I would still recommend it to well.
