Oil and watercolor paintings by African American self taught artist Ida Ella Ruth Jones. She painted more than 300 pieces from 1947 to 1959 when she died at the age of 85. Her work offers a powerful personal narrative and rare chronicle of life in rural Chester County during the first half of the 20th century.
