The Book of the Holy Places with Latin Text was written @ 705 A.D. This edition has a reference of Jesus' burial shroud, in Chapter X titled ' A piece of cloth in which he had buried the head of the Lord it is so covered. '
it further states:
" Of the sacred and holy that one also a piece of cloth, which is in the tomb on his head as had been laid out, we have known the relation of the holy Arculf, who had also caught sight of the gazes of their own, which we have now this craxamus [et al., Caraxamus, that is, pars] a narration of the which the whole of Jerusalem bears witness to the people to be genuine. " from Venerable Doctor Bede (673 A.D.–735 A.D) this edition also has the Ecclesiastical History of the English People written @ 730 A.D.
