The main objective of this thesis is to explore the business case for corporate social responsibility (CSR). Common definition of the term ‘business case’ is justification of investments in a certain project. Thus, the study aims to investigate benefits and costs of CSR activities and ways to detect a succesful sustainability strategy. The practical analysis of the issue is conducted by means of a case study where the CSR strategy of a Russian petroleum company Rosneft is examined.
