Preludes to a Nightmare

Mysterious, horrific murders take place in the village of Omd. An adventurer and a mysterious stranger unveil the dark truth behind the murders. A recently initiated, cunning magician of the Inner Circle of the Mage Guild of Ashkel is asked by old friends to aid them in murdering Magister Kelnys, the head of the Guild. A vengeful warrior is seeking information from the Cabal, the criminal organization of Ashkel. He will stop at nothing to find and kill a vicious murderer whom even the Cabal fears. Preludes to a Nightmare is a collection of dark fantasy short stories acting as prequels to the Rider of the Black Horse pentalogy, taking place a few years before Twilightfall, a dark time that will change the world forever. (Note: Preludes to a Nightmare is a dark tale in a twisted land where heroes in the classical meaning of the word do not exist. Occasionally bordering on horror, the story contains some scenes of extreme violence and foul language; not recommended for the faint of heart.)
