Ruins Speak is an autobiographical account written by Wajahat Fatima. It acts as a poetic, historical portrait of a small village in India named Sheikhupur, near the city of Badaiyun in the province of U.P. This village is now in ruins, when once it was a fortress that came into existence in the times of Nawab Farid; the great grandson of Hazrat Baba Farid Ganj Shakar, a Sufi saint.
