"Adam Smith Making Poverty History" I attended a performance of Adam Smith Making Poverty History at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. I went not knowing what to expect and was quite prepared to be bored. However, within ten minutes I was hooked! This play reading came to life and I found the account of the life and times of Adam Smith to be fascinating, entertaining and extremely informative. I now have a different and compelling understanding of the philosophy of Smith and an appreciation of the compassion that lay behind his most famous work The Wealth Of Nations. I can enthusiastically recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in current world events.
