Mar 17, 2016I've been looking for a journal like this since I started a few months ago. It is a nice spiral bound book and I my pens glide easily over the page. Each reading has a 2 page layout that you can see without flipping the page. There are lines to record information about who you are doing the reading for. Then you can add document more details such as the question, the deck and spread. There's even space to sketch the spread, if you want. For now, I prefer doing single card readings. I find that there is plenty of space to jot down my first thoughts. Then the author prompts you to think about the reading a little more before you conclude your message. This journal is perfect as I can now remember previous readings and see a bigger message from the Universe. If you are new, like me, you will find this journal helpful.
Mar 9, 2016What a lovely and useful item! Wanda Bailey's Journal keeps everything in one place - personal readings & readings for others as well. Very useful for those practitioners who utilize Oracles and/or the Tarot in their practices. Ample room to record spreads, questions, deck(s) used, cards drawn, notes and thoughts about your readings. I use mine every day. Beautiful cream-colored paper, always a joy to write on, and the pages are graced with images, insights and inspirational prompts. I'm a big fan of spiral-bound journals, especially when I'm working in tight spaces. This is the sort of journal I would have loved when I was starting out as a Tarot student and reader 45+ years ago. It is definitely one that I will recommend to my students and colleagues.
Mar 9, 2016This is a nice, simple, straightforward and clearly laid out companion journal for card readings from any system. I love the spiral binding! I also particularly like the little quotes and black and white drawings that alternate on each page. (Questions on each page are the same, but the art and quotes vary throughout the book.) There is also blank space for your own sketches. (Disclosure: I received a copy of the journal for review purposes)
Mar 9, 2016The cover is gorgeous, and being spiral bound the journal stays open easily. When I first received this I thought the page paper might be a little thin, but (as a previous reviewer has mentioned), there is no ghosting or bleed through when using a standard ballpoint pen. I love the layout of this journal - there is a brief intro, and then lots pages for readings with well thoughtout headings/prompts to help you if you want to refer back to a previous reading, as well as for developing your current reading; plus several blank pages at the back. Disclosure: I received a copy of the journal for review purposes
Mar 6, 2016The journal starts off with a brief (but helpful) description of how to use the journal, and a few F.A.Q.'s about reading with cards and ends with a few extra blank "notes" pages. There are is room to record about 120 readings (2 pages per reading), which is more than double what I've found in other commercially available card reading journals. Because of the lack of space in most journals made specifically for card readings, I had been using a a generic, blank notebook to record my readings. I will definitely be switching over to Wanda's journal going forward, because I like the structure that is provided for each reading. My plain old notebook tended to get a little messy, which makes it harder to spot trends. The paper quality of the journal is very good, with no bleed through and only minimal ghosting when I used heavier (Sharpie) pens. The ghosting was non-existent with a traditional ball point. I did receive a free copy in exchange for my honest review, but I will be... More > purchasing a second copy when I am done with this one. The paper quality, the structure of the layout and the # of readings that can be fit into one journal make this a really great find.< Less
