Beijing Sights is a collective sights of Beijing. Beijing Sights is a guide of travelling to Beijing, China. Beijing (“Jing” for short), is China's political, economic, cultural and scientific centre. Located at the northern end of the Vast North China Plain, Beijing is bounded by the West Mountain (a branch of Taihang Mountain Range) to the west, by the Jundu Mountain (a branch of Yanshan Mountain Range) to the north, and by the plain to the southeast. Five major rivers flow through the city. With an area of 16,807 square kilometres and a population of more than 13.8 million, Beijing governs 16 districts (namely, Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chongwen, Xuanwu, Chao-yang, Fengtai, Shijingshan, Haidian, Mentougou, Fangshan, Tongzhou, Shunyi, Daxing, Changping, Huairou and Pinggu) and 2 rural counties (Miyun and Yan-qing). It is one of the four municipalities under direct jurisdiction of the Central Government.
