AMAZING BOOKS BY WARD FARNSWORTH. I REALLY AM GETTING A LOT OUT OF THE DESCRIPTIVE EXPLANATIONS ON THE THOUGHT PROCESS LEADING UP TO THE TACTICS. IT IS NOT JUST PUZZLES TO SOLVE, IT ALSO IS LOGICAL STEPS TO REARRANGING YOUR OPPONENTS PIECES TO MAKE THE TACTICS WORK. INVALUABLE BOOKS ON THE SUBJECT OF CHESS TACTICS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE TO BEGINNERS UP THROUGH MAYBE B PLAYERS. EXCELLENT WORKS. THANK YOU MR. FARNSWORTH. LOVE THE NAMES AND COVERS OF THE BOOKS AS WELL. GREAT JOB!!!
"Predator at the Chessboard books 1&2" I discovered Mr. Farnsworth's web site last fall and was amazed at how much it improved my game. The only thing that could have been better would be to have all the information in book form....well here it is. I own a LOT of chess books; these are the very best on chess tactics. If you want to discover the thinking behind tactics then these books are for you; they explain each tactic in a systematic, straight-forward way. As an added bonus, you can read and study these books without the need for a chessboard in front of you, although it helps if you wish to solve/study the positions before reading the text. If these books become popular enough, perhaps Mr. Farnsworth will create a series of books on the openings or endgame tactics!
