Having served with Warren in Vietnam, I found his book very factual, his dry wit added to the enjoyment. His detail of events, some of which I did not know about, made the book a very interesting read. He included some information that I was able to impart to him, making his book special to me. I thank him for his service & hope others will thank him by buying & enjoying this book!

Warren Welch was assigned duty as a support technician and he was not engaged in combat. With words and more then seventy photographs from his personal collection he describes his experiences. Some of the events include setting up the base at Cu Chi, Vietnam, building bunkers, standing guard duty, providing maintenance on the infantry's heavy weapons and an occasional night in Saigon. I recommend this book for a good description of army life in the early days of the Vietnam conflict.

Nice, short read by Warren. A different view of the Vietnam we all learned about from the media. I would recommend this book to all. Hope Warren writes more.
